the cat
i'm back at "the world" at last..
i got sick and also whacked by that previous typhoon that rocked the city.
i never got the chance to do this..update..
instead i read some books..
i've just finished this book by gaiman again.
it's actually a book for children but i read it still never the less and it bothered me..
look..
i've read a number of other books by various authors
books that is far more complex and disturbing than this book in every way
but i just can't explain it. this book disturbed me.. really disturbed me...
after reading that night, i can't sleep. i kept thinking that
somebody would pop at the door of my room and kiss me goodnight
telling me she's my "other mother" (that's the villain in the story)
some freak that would have buttons for eyes and nails so sharp it can poke
my eye out..
bedlam..!
i got over it anyway..i didn't know that i fall asleep..
but i did and i got back to my usual self..
"cat's don't have names..." said the black cat.
"no..?" coraline replied.
"no. now YOU people have names. that's because you don't know who you are.
we know who we are, so we don't need names.." the cat said.

i don't know what this says about me but i've always seen coraline as a fairytale of sorts. i especially love the black cat and the button eyes. haha.
glad to find another person who likes the book, after quite a while. :)
